I’m Ben Steinig, a software engineer based in San Francisco. I’m most at home where product requirements meet distributed systems: durable work, modular service boundaries, observable infrastructure, and AI features that have to behave outside a demo.

Away from production systems, I run a modest homelab and build tools for problems I understand firsthand. The technology is useful; the habit of staying curious is the point.
